Author Notes:
Japanese names are spoken and written with their surname (family name) first and their personal/given name last. When transliterated into English, the names can be written in Eastern format (surname, given name) or Western format (given name, surname). To make things easier for the casual reader, I have chosen Western format.

The hair color of the main character, Miharu, is not naturally blond, of course. She dyes a very white-blond color. Reika also dyes her hair which is why her hair fades from dark brown to a pale red/blond. A lot of Japanese people dye their hair. School aged girls will try to get away with it, but schools normally don't allow it. They will even go as far as to make the students dye their hair black again to cover it up. Some schools that are not as strict -as in places where more delinquent types attend- will let things like this slide.

The name of the school (written in Japanese) is "Fuyuzono High School." The kanji used for the name mean "winter" and "garden."
