In Japanese schools, students have summer and winter uniforms. At the same time across the country, all students change their uniforms.
As a side note, the Japanese school year does not match up with the American school year. Japanese schools have three semesters, separated by vacations. The new school year starts on April 1st. Summer vacation starts around July 23 and ends 40-odd days later. Winter vacation and spring vacation last around 10 days, from approximately December 25 to January 6 and March 22 to March 31 respectively. |
